If it’s not obvious to you already, video game testing programs are complete and utter scams. Well at least most of the ones that are popular on Google. Companies such as game testing grounds, game tester guide, only 4 gamers, and tons more! Shocking isn’t it? But it’s absolutely true, and I have facts and research to back it up.

Video game testing programs are scams

• As reported by an outside source, the starting pay for video game testing with THQ is only $9. So making up to $80 as stated in these programs should be dodgy all in itself. Especially if this is freelance and people can get information on how to sign up to get into the video game testing industry, there should be no reason whatsoever to pay in order to get information that is totally free to get.
• Previously in the oh so popular game tester guide, there used to be a sponser called alex lum. Recently, they have changed that sponsor to Matt Lankford but for some odd reason, his checks that he claims to receive from his video game testing companies are from the very first sponser who said that he used the program and it worked, Alex Lum. More research shows that there are more examples of these checks where Alex Lum is the person writing it.
• As you can see, unless you actually visit these video game testing programs, do you see any real positive feedbacks froms forums and blogs about these programs? Does anyone ever give any positive feedback saying that these companies actually work and that they should be used all the time? You might see some feedbacks from people, but they are usually either from the programs affiliate program, or are just robots.
• Referring back to Alex Lums video game testing program, game tester guide, if you were to simply google his name, you would see countless information stating that he is a video game tester, but he is not an owner of a video game testing company. So then how is it that the “people” who actually sign up for it get paid in checks with his name on it? Like stated before, it’s just a scam.

These video game testing programs are scams that should not be touched and wasted money on. You cannot get into a video game testing career just by simply signing up with a program and having them do all the work for you. It simply doesn’t work out that way, if it did, companies wouldn’t be in mad search for video game testers now would they? There would be tons of them waiting to get a job from these programs!
